I utilize a variety of chiropractic techniques including flexion/distraction, activator, and diversified adjusting. To get quicker and longer lasting results I utilize a variety of soft tissue therapies including myofascial release, trigger point reduction, and muscle energy/balance techniques.

I was born on July 4th, 1968 in Rochester, Minnesota near the Mayo Clinic. Most of my family resides in various parts of Minnesota and our ancestry is from Norway and Sweden. I moved to Colorado when I was 8 years old and went through the Cherry Creek school system. When I was a freshman at Cherry Creek High, I lettered in tennis and played basketball and baseball. Our family moved to Mission Viejo, California where health was rampant.  I played baseball for Capistrano Valley High School and during that time I began to train with weights very seriously.  We moved back to Colorado for my senior year, and I finished my high school at Smoky Hill in Aurora.  I learned that the University of Northern Colorado had an excellent program for health education and enrolled in 1987. College was a great experience and I joined the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE)fraternity and still maintain many friendships to this day.

How I got started in the health field:
At 13 years old I found that I needed to "bulk up" and started training with weights to keep up with the other kids. I started working out at my house before school and would ride my bike 4 miles to and from a Nautilus health facility 5 days a week. My body began to respond and at the age of 15, I decided to enter the junior Olympics to compete in the dead lift, bench press and squat competitions. Unfortunately, my skeletal system began to break down from the rigorous training routines and I began to have lower back pain. I visited a sports chiropractor in El Toro, California and began treatment that included realigning the spine and improving my core strength.

The chiropractor felt that I needed to shift gears to a more flexible and healthy way of training my body and persuaded me to start bodybuilding. I began to compete in various bodybuilding contests at age 16 and had very good success, while improving my muscle tone, nutritional habits and flexibility.

At the University of Northern Colorado, I began to study human anatomy and chemistry and became a certified personal trainer. I began working at The Conditioning Spa in Greeley and started training friends, but as my cliental began to grow, I had to find new exercise concepts to enhance their performance. I started to work with massage therapists and chiropractors.

Chiropractic school further educated my knowledge on how the joints of the body and the nervous system influence our health. I learned an incredible amount of information regarding different training perspectives along the way and have implemented them into my practice. I have had the wonderful opportunity to become the Denver Broncos, Colorado Crush Chiropractor and most recently named as the Denver Outlaws Lacrosse Team Chiropractor. This has driven me to research additional various techniques to improve my skills. My goal with every patient I see the very best health education that I can provide..
